Before we start the predictions, I want to take a moment and talk about the longevity and success of this league. 21 years ago, I was a 21 year old kid with an idea to create an online madden league, but really had no idea how it worked. With the help of Dolan (Lhu27) we created the MOF. We had some bumps and bruises in our first few seasons, but now 73 seasons later here we are. One of the most prestigious leagues out there. As we enter our unprecedented 75th season, a number that not many leagues, if any, have ever seen, I want to thank every single one of you for making this league what it is. I say this all the time, but this is a wonderful hobby for all of us. Something to get our minds off the everyday grind and have a place to escape for a few hours a week. I take pride and pleasure in providing that for you guys, so again, thank you for making the MOF great!
Welcome to the Season 75 Predictions! So last season's numbers, I was 4 for 7 in the AFC. In the NFC I was also 4 for 7. I predicted the Ravens to win their 3rd title in a row over the Falcons for the 3rd time in arow. Instead, my Season 73 prediction came true to a tee and the Steelers defeated the Panthers 36-29 in the SB for BigReub's first MOF title! Some surprises last season, I predicted the Raiders and MackDaddy to get to the AFC Championship and he missed the playoffs all together and he has left the MOF. I predicted Roclo and Dre to be in the playoffs, and they both missed it. I again, didn't pick the Colts to be there, but their they were again. In the NFC I predicted the NFC title game right, once again. So what's going on this season? We have a couple of changes, we see the return of two Hall of Fame coaches, MrWitness36 (Browns) and Beast10790 (Chargers). Can they make immediate impact in the already loaded AFC? The NFC has their big 2/3 with Atlanta, Carolina, and Seattle. Can anyone knock them off? Philadelphia? Maybe Detroit or San Francisco? We love seeing new blood in the playoffs, and there's usually 1 or 2 teams per conference that switch out, so who will it be this seasons? Will Roclo's Titans finally make a run? Can Dre bounce back? Can BHicks get back to his previous madden form? Maybe Coach Jfon takes that next step? The new season is always filled with excitement, so without further ado, here are your MOF Season 75 Predictions!
*Remember all these predictions are very in depth. We go game by game with the current schedule and predict games 1 by 1 and that's how we come up with our algorithms. Remember this is all in good fun and for some, some bulletin board material! Enjoy
Biggest Off-Season Addition: CB Marshon Lattimore - NE (92 ovr)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction: CB Kairr Elam - BUF (93 ovr)
Best Draft Selection: WR Connor Cherry - MIA (80 ovr)
The AFC East again was one for the 3rd straight time by Coach Bubbaduran's Bills. From the moment he went undefeated in the 1st season, he's been absolutely dominant. Finishing in 2nd were the New York Jets who had a surprisingly better season that I thought at 9-8. The Dolphins and Patriots finished off the division both having very poor seasons. We do begin with the Buffalo Bills, who transformed their roster in the offseason. Getting rid of some high priced high overall players for a lot of picks, they had 6 first round picks in the draft and they made them all count. Bubba has turned into a very good developer of rookies over the past few editions and he's ready to really make a run with some young guys, no one greater than WR Cameron Allen who has a 97 speed, and I expect to finish 1 or 2 in ROY voting. The Bills traded Stefon Diggs so this guy will fit directly into that spot. Also keep an eye on both rookie LBs James McCann and Mike Gleason, both hidden dev and both in the upper 80s in speed. I expect no change for Buffalo, I expect them to win this division with the biggest margin of any division in the MOF, again, and I even think they have an outside shot at the top seed if they can upset Baltimore again. The New York Jets and Coach Gouch are coming in and 2nd in my predictions this season. I was wrong when I predicted them to go 6-11 last season and they wound up going 9-8. The Jets are resilient and they are proving to be that team that has that one WTF kind of game every season. Last season it was against the Panthers and Falcons (Sim). The Jets went out and signed TE Dallas Goedert and traded for the ageless wonder LT Trent Williams. The offensive line is one of the strong units of this team and it will help Breece Hall who is a monster at RB. On defense I love the signing of FS Marcus Williams (92 ovr) to add to an already deep secondary with Sauce and Rose. If there were any weak spots I'd say the linebackers but they are still a solid group. The Jets have a nice team, there's no question. It's just a matter of trying to get over that hump that is Buffalo. Because in the AFC it's very hard to get a wild-card spot with those monsters in the AFC North. The Jets will finish 2nd, but I think they fall short of a wild-card spot but not by much. Miami comes into this season off a disappointing season 74. I expected some more fight out of them considering the way they finished Season 73. Instead, the Dolphins went 4-13 and did not look good at all. The good news is, its a new season and its time to wipe the slate clean. De'Von Achane is unreal, and will be the focus again on offense. The Dolphins went out and drafted WR Connor Cherry who will prove to be a big threat for QB Will Levis , especially in the redzone. TE Ben Mathis has turned into a huge target for Levis as well, and the offense really isn't the problem. Defensively the secondary is very nice, with Ramsey, Holland, Wall, Cam Smith, etc. I really like Jaelan Phillips, obviously, and Bret Radley at LB. The defensive line could use some help though. When you cant really generate pressure from the defensive line, your entire defense suffers. That's the problem in Miami. I know Miami has the skills and the talent on offense to compete with anyone, but the problem is turnovers and that defense. I think Miami has an outside shot to over take the Jets for 2nd place, but more than likely they will finish 3rd. Coach Shawty had one of his worst seasons in his lustrous MOF career last season at 3-14. Tough schedule combined with breaks that just didn't go his way will equal a lot of losses. The Patriots went out and made some moves in the offseason. They traded CB Christian Gonzalez but they also traded for CB Marshon Lattimore from the Saints. The offense is the real problem of the Patriots. They are lacking star power and they have been lacking star power for the entire edition. They don't have that 1 explosive player on offense that can change a game, you can argue that Jaden Triplett is that guy but we have yet to see it. When you don't have any explosive players on offense, you need to play ball control and not turn the ball over. The defense is the Patriots strong suit with TJ Watt and Marshon Lattimore leading the way. But what good is your defense if your offense cant capitalize on it? I expect the Patriots to finish last until they can get someone on offense that can stretch the field.
Biggest Off-Season Addition: LB Fred Warner - CIN (99 ovr)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction: FS Marcus Williams - CLE (92 ovr)
Best Draft Selection: LB Tyrell Little - BAL (76 ovr)
Somehow someway the AFC North was even better last season than the previous two. We had the Ravens win the division at 15-2. The Steelers finish second at 15-2, losing only to the Ravens in the regular season and then beating them in the playoffs ultimately winning the Super Bowl! Then you had the Bengals and Coach Healy finally turning it around finishing 12-5 and now you have Hall of Fame Coach MrWitness joining the Browns. Could this be the best division in the history of the MOF? I start with the 3-time defending AFC North division champions Baltimore Ravens. Did we forget who this guy is? Mack lost Lamar Jackson towards the end of the season and that spelled disaster. They won their first playoff game, but then they were ousted by the Steelers in the AFC Championship. I don't believe for one second that they would have lost if Lamar was on the field. Anyway, the Ravens come into this season with the top draft pick in the division with LB Tyrell Little. Who looks to start right away. They also went out and signed Russell Wilson in case Lamar goes down again and i'm not sure if that was a good move. The talent on this team is unmatched throughout the league, with the speed and the playmakers. These guys are unreal. JK Dobbins looks to have another huge season, along with TE Elijah Higgins who i think will break out this season as well. The defense is one of the strongest units in the entire MOF with emerging superstar SS Kyle Hamilton becoming one of the best players in the MOF. I love the linebacker duo of Smith and Simpson and now you add Little and Prewitt to that mix and it's just not fair. I expect Baltimore to win the division again, and if for some reason they don't, they will absolutely be in the playoffs no question. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Coach BigReub is fresh off celebrating his first MOF Super Bowl title with their 36-29 win over the Panthers in the big game. The Steelers finally got over that Raven sized hump and won the entire thing. Now you could put an asterisk next to that since Lamar was out, but a win is a win over a competitor like Mack. The Steelers come into Season 75 with basically the same team they left Season 74's SB win with. Gilbert Wolff is one of the most exciting players in the league, with his 96 speed and 94 acc. He makes guys miss from 10 yards away and can juke almost half the damn field. They also went out and traded for Ja'Marr Chase mid-season 74 and he's been a hell of a payoff for them. The Steelers have some speed at WR, Austin (95), Thornton (97), Turpin (94), and Chase (96). Makes it very difficult to cover these guys who you have that much speed running around. The defense is just getting better and better as Reub develops them at a rapid rate. Minkah obviously still the top DB on the team but Joey Porter Jr. is emerging as one of the top CBs in the league. The Steelers are going to be 1/2 with the Ravens, and that's just how its going to be. If they don't win the division they will finish as the top wild-card team, again, and it doesn't really matter because in the end we probably will see Pittsburgh vs Baltimore in the playoffs like we do every season. The Cincinnati Bengals and Coach Healy were a breath of fresh air last season, overcoming that division (which they lost 4 games to Baltimore and Pittsburgh) and finishing 12-5. So take away those 4 games, the Bengals were 12-1 with a loss coming to Houston. The GM skills of Healy are without question one of the tops in the MOF. They are ever improving that team, and it's usually the defense which they went out and traded for LB Fred Warner who is a 99 rated x-factor player. Couple that along with Maxx Crosby, Chase Young, Roy White, Ed Oliver and you have a plethora of a front 7 to deal with. They also went out and drafted DT Sidney Hill who has a 96 strength rating, wow. Don't forget about that secondary, DJ Turner, Daxton Hill, Justin Ried, Cam Taylor-Britt. The list goes on and on. The Bengals have arguably the best defense in the league and you need that when you face the damn Steelers and Ravens 4 times a season. I expect the Bengals to drop a few more games this season, all because the division is even harder now with Witness. But I still expect Cincinnati to be a wild-card team, with that defense it's going to be hard to lose games. The Cleveland Browns welcomed back Coach MrWitness last season for a few games and now he has a full season to show that he shouldn't be overlooked either. The Browns are without question the least talented team in the division, not that is a bad thing when you look at the rest of the teams, but it's just the truth. They have some nice pieces on offense but only 1 player, Nick Chubb, with abilities. On defense? Same thing. Myles Garrett is the only player with abilities on the defensive side of the ball. The secondary is super nice, with Newsome and Ward and even Emerson. The Browns have some work to do with their roster, and if Witness was here from day 1 of the edition these guys would probably right up there with Pittsburgh and Baltimore but since he hasn't been, I am going to have to predict them to finish last. I still think they have a great shot at the wild-card because it's MrWitness but I think they fall short.
Biggest Off-Season Addition: CB Christian Gonzalez - JAC (83 ovr)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction: LT Laremy Tunsil - HOU (94 ovr)
Best Draft Selection: CB Troy Gore - HOU (77 ovr)
So clearly I need to start showing the Colts some respect. This is the 3rd season in a row that Coach Bengalsonly has won this division with the Colts, last season was the best one he's had so far. The other two teams that were in the mix but just barely missed out on the post-season were the Jaguars and Titans who both finished 9-8. The Texans offense was there this season but defense wasn't as they finished 5-12. We do start the AFC South with your defending champs, the Colts. Last season was the 3rd in a row that I did not predict the Colts to make the playoffs, and it's the 3rd season in a row that I was proven wrong. So this season I am changing my tune. The Colts are all about the run game, and it's hard not to be when you have a bull like Jonathan Taylor (96 ovr, 96 speed). It also looks like the Colts are rolling with QB Trey Lance this season, instead of Sam Howell. They have a very nice WR group as well with Tee Higgins, Amari Cooper, and Sheldon Griffith. The defense is very nice as well, with Buckner and Paye leading the d-line. But my favorite player on the team is Tre-Davious White who is still trucking at 31 yrs old x-factor. The Colts continue to prove everyone wrong and although they haven't had the post-season success that they wish, they are still a team that is there season in and season out when it comes down to it. I don't see a team knocking them out of the division title this season either. The Jacksonville Jaguars are next on my list. As BigDre enters the 4th season of the edition last season was the first time they missed the post-season thus far. Dre was working through a personal issue that caused him to forfeit about 5 or 6 of his remaining games which ultimately caused his playoff demise. You cannot deny the fact that when Dre is on his game, he is one of the top coaches in the MOF. The division title has eluded him this edition, and I think it will again but his team is improved with the addition of CB Christian Gonzalez who is a speed demon at CB. Coupled with Tyson Campbell and they have one of the fasted CB duos in the MOF. Speaking of duos, Josh Allen and Travon Walker also an x-factor duo at OLB which makes it difficult for teams to find time to throw the rock. Offense is where the Jags could use some star power. Travis Etienne is a superstar back that will probably have another opportunity to turn into an x-factor this season. Calvin Ridley leads a WR tandem that could use an upgrade or two. I think the Jags are good enough to win the division, but history has shown Dre having some issues beating the Colts. So that's why I'm giving the edge to the Colts there. The Jags will be in the mix for a wild-card but I think they fall short this season. The Tennessee Titans enter this season coming off another 9-8 season, they are flirting with 8-9 and 9-8 the entire edition, just struggling to get a streak going during the season that propels them into the playoffs. Malik Willis had himself a fantastic Season 74 but it just wasn't enough to get over that hump. This season they enter with a new starting RB in rookie Sheldon Terry who looks to take the reigns over from the 32 year old Derrick Henry who seems to be on his last leg. The Titans receivers are extremely talented. You have Garrett Wilson, Gabe Davis, Kadarius Toney, Timmy Newton (R) and TE Chigoziem Okonkwo. That's a ton of weapons for Malik Willis and his 97 throw power. The defense is led by their two headed monster at safety, Kevin Byard and Amani Hooker who always seem to find the ball, and they've been doing it for multiple editions for Roclo. The speed at LB also is a threat with the draft picks of Kris Rutherford and Chris Thompkins. Already adding to a Channing Tindall, Kyron Johnson, and Chance Campbell. Some of the fastest linebackers in the game. The Titans problem isn't their offense, they have one of the tops in the MOF, the problem is turnovers and defense. Malik had 44 TD passes but also 40 interceptions last season and i don't care who you are, you aren't winning with 40 interceptions. I expect the Titans to be right in the mix of 2nd/3rd place again and right around the same 8-9/9-8 unless they can limit those interceptions. The Houston Texans had some games last season where they could have won, but they are not good finishers. They don't know how to put teams away and they don't know how to stop them from coming back. CJ Stroud is back with Houston, as well as Rodney Teague the rookie of the year in the AFC last season. DK Metcalf continues to be Stroud's #1 target. The Texans drafted WR Don Amell who should be a deep threat right out of the gates. The top pick of the division was CB Troy Gore who is in a pretty crowded secondary as it is. I believe the Texans will finish in 4th place again, it's just a tough division and they get in their own way a lot. If they can start learning how to put teams away, they will win more games. If they can get the ball into that stud RB Teague's hands more often, they will win games. I expect Houston to get a few upsets, but that's about it.
Biggest Off-Season Addition: CB Kairr Elam - KC (93 ovr)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction: TE David Njoku - LV (83 ovr)
Best Draft Selection: TE Will Spears - LAC (82 ovr)
The AFC West was a nice race that came down to the wire. The Chiefs and MMX wound up winning the division at 11-6, then the Broncos finished 10-7 sneaking into the playoffs. The Raiders and Coach MackDaddy finished 9-8 and then Remo's Chargers at 2-15. We have seen some change in this division coming into this season, and it starts with the Chargers, who we will be starting with! Coach Beast10790 has made his return to the MOF from a near 40 season hiatus. Beast is a hall of fame coach who has 3 super bowl titles under his belt. So I believe his impact will be felt immediately. The Chargers already went out and drafted TE Will Spears who was the top pick in the division and I think will have a huge season. I love the addition of Najee Harris last season by Remo, and Beast will reap the benefits of that move. Justin Herbert is obviously one of the top QBs in the game and under Beast, he should be just that. Also look out for the draft pick of Reshard Lindley who has 94 speed at WR. The defense is also very nice in LA. Joey Bosa has resigned and moved to DE. Their linebackers are young and quick and all pretty much a carbon copy of each other. The secondary is led by 30 yr old Derwin James who can still ball. Along with CB Asante Samuel Jr. and Kenny Moore II. The Chargers are going to go from worst to first and it's because of Coach Beast. I expect him to have a few bumps in the road, but I also think he takes the division by a couple games. The Kansas City Chiefs and Coach MMX come into this season fresh off a division win last season and an MVP season out of Patrick Mahomes who absolutely killed it with 36 TDs and just 9 INTs, compiling one of the best QB seasons we have seen in a long time. The Chiefs only issue I can see is their age. McCaffrey is now 30 yrs old, Kelce is 36. The good news is I think MMX has both of their replacements ready to roll with William McAlister and Josh Walker. Besides, this season shouldn't matter anyway. I expect another great season out of this offense, who went and signed speed WR Danny Gray in the offseason. I really like the addition of CB Kaiir Elam to the secondary who is an x-factor 25 year old 94 speed defensive back! I also like the trade for Pete Werner at MLB. The Chiefs will be right there when the dust settles, and I expect them to battle for a wild-card spot, which we know is always tough in the AFC. The Denver Broncos and Coach Big Reg clinched a playoff spot last season on the last week against the Jaguars which was a sim win. Either way, they got there. I think they have the talent to get to the playoffs again, however this division is getting tougher with the addition of Beast. The Chargers also are going in another direction at QB with the draft pick of Juan Stockton out of Clemson. Stockton has a 95 THP and some good accuracy ratings, I expect a nice season out of him. They could still use some help at RB which they haven't really addressed all edition. They did go out and draft Deionte Jackson who could see some time in the spell position. I like the speed that they have at WR with Mims, Pierce, Shaheed, and Villa. They also went and drafted Ahston Honeycutt who also has 95 speed. On the defensive side of the ball, obviously CB Patrick Surtain who is 99 overall is the truth. They also have FS Justin Simmons who is 32 yrs old now, and still a superstar. I like the Broncos, they have a solid roster, I think the QB might see some growing pains, but that defense is very strong. I wouldn't be shocked if they jumped the Chiefs for 2nd, but I'd be shocked if they won the division. The Raiders have made a big change in their front office. Coach MackDaddy has resigned from the MOF for the time being and Coach Remo357 has switched from the Chargers to the Raiders. The talent is already an upgrade. You have x-factor QB Joe Burrow, x-factor HB Josh Jacobs. WR Davante Adams, 96 speed WR Jermaine Copeland and thats all on offense. They are loaded. Defense could use a bit of help, with just 1 superstar in SS Tre'von Moehrig. They do have some talent though especially in rookie DE Quincy Allison who looks to start right out of the gate. Listen, we know Remo has been struggling this edition with the Chargers so maybe a switch up is exactly what he needs! I expect Remo to win a few games this season, not a ton, but I think his games will be closer and more respectable and I think we're going to see a different side of Remo with this Raiders!
Biggest Off-Season Addition: WR Cooper Kupp - DAL (91 ovr)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction: LT Jordan Mailata - PHI (90 ovr)
Best Draft Selection: QB Brett Ferguson - NYG (80 ovr)
For the 2nd straight season we saw Coach Pettigrew95 win the NFC East, this time by 6 games! The Eagles finished 14-3 and were the top seed in the NFC. The Washington Commanders finished a disappointing 8-9 and that was a bit of a surprise. The Giants had a coaching change mid-season and finished 7-10 with BuffaloBill. Then the Cowboys finished 4-13 for the 3rd straight season. We begin with the top seed in the NFC from last season, the Philadelphia Eagles and Coach Pettigrew. Petti has built himself up to the favorite in this division season in and season out. The Eagles didn't make too many offseason moves, they did lose LT Jordan Mailata but they signed 33 year old TE Darren Waller, who can still move with 86 speed. I love the receivers on this team, AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, Elijah Moore, and the speed demon Quez Watkins. The offensive line, even though they lost Mailata, is still very strong. The acquisition of LB Nick Bolton last season paid off immediately and combined with Nolan Smith and Nakobe Dean, could be the best linebacker corps in the MOF. Kelee Ringo has emerged as the top CB on the team with Budda Wallace right there as well. Look, I am picking the Eagles to win the division for the 3rd straight season. His team is powerful, his gameplay is strong, and he's an MOF hall of famer. Speaking of Hall of Famer, Coach Betts has missed the playoffs two seasons in a row for the first time in his 61 season MOF career. Let that sink in. Also, the last two seasons were the first two times Coach Betts has had a losing season in his career. Just incredible stats. What's more incredible that this team has finished 8-9 for two seasons in a row. The Commanders have a nice team and I think the losing stops this season. QB Mark Schaffer is an x-factor superstar now rated 83 overall with 94 throw power. Antonio Gibson is in the prime of his career, x-factor RB. They have x-factor WR Jahan Dotson, and SS WR Terry McLaurin. Also SS TE Noah Harrison. They are absolutely loaded on offense. The defense is also very solid, love all the stars they have in the secondary. Including two rookie CBs Tyrone Pettis and Sheldon Carmichael. LB Jordyn Brooks has cemented himself as the top MLB in the NFC as well. Coach Betts is in unfamiliar territory with missing the playoffs two straight season, having two straight losing seasons. I think that ends right now. Coach Betts is arguably the greatest coach in MOF history and it's time for them to turn it back. The New York Giants saw a coaching change mid-season as SonGoku was dropped and Coach BuffaloBill slid over from the Browns. They finished 5-4 throughout the rest of the season and that's a promising way to start this season. That and the fact that they drafted generational talent QB Brett Ferguson who looks to make an immediate impact with his 95 THP and 90 SAC. Ferguson is going to have himself a season, you heard it here first. The Giants are getting younger and stronger. They also are developing HB Nick Brooks who is now a SS. Also WR Jerome Clifton who is an x-factor WR. They have arguably the best young offense in the MOF. They also have 3 x-factors on defense. Dexter Lawrence, Kayvon Thibodeaux, and Isaiah Simmons. The secondary is also very good with Deonte Banks, Adoree' Jackson and Xavier McKinney. I really like the Giants roster, they are strong in the right places and maybe 6-11 is a tough prediction but they have a tough schedule and they are in a division where they have two Hall of Famers in Petigrew and Betts. I still think the Giants could make a run, but the odds are against them. Coach Minden's Dallas Cowboys are next on the docket. They have finished the season 4-13 for the 3rd straight season. That caused a huge decision to cut Dak Prescott and give the team to QB Jamie Nowak who is an x-factor in his 2nd season. They also went out and signed the top WR available in Cooper Kupp. Sure he's 33 yrs old but he has a 94 catch rating. Tony Pollard is nearing the age of 30 but still has a 94 speed at HB. The Cowboys have a good offense, Nowak just needs to limit his turnovers and they will be in a good position. The defense is led by X-factor Micah Parsons who is the top defensive end in the game. The linebackers could use an upgrade with the top rated LB just a 79. The defensive backs got an upgrade with acquiring SS Juan Thornhill and drafting CB Chris Thompson. The Cowboys have talent, there's no denying that. However, I think they get in their own way and that's why they finish 4-13 every season. If things fall different, Minden can hang with anyone and I truly believe that.
Biggest Off-Season Addition: WR Christian Kirk - DET (88 ovr)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction: LT David Bakhtiari - GB (91 ovr)
Best Draft Selection: LE Sheldon Carson - MIN (77 ovr)
The NFC North was flipped around last season. We saw the Vikings go from 2-15 to division winners at 9-8. We saw the Lions just miss out finishing 8-9. The Packers finished 4-13 and the Bears were 2-15. We do begin with the Detroit Lions. The Detroit Lions are the highest rated team in the MOF, and you can see why. It starts with HB Jahmyr Gibbs who has propelled himself to a 99 rating, 94 speed and 96 accel. He's the epitome of a star running back and Jfon does a great job with him. Along with X-factor WR Jameson Williams who has 99 speed, the Lions went out and drafted Tracy Blake who also has a 99 speed. I could be mistaken, but this is the first time we've ever seen a team with two 99 speed receivers on their team. The offense is going to be absolutely insane. Jfon has done a great job on defense as well building up that defensive line and line-backing crew. The defensive backs led by CJ Gardner Johnson is an underrated secondary. I think the Lions bounce back this season and take the division back. Their team is just too good, they have so many play makers and defenses are going to have a very hard time stopping them. The Minnesota Vikings shocked us all last season and won the division away from the Lions finishing 9-8. We saw a breakout season from QB Logan Taylor who threw for 4,196 yards and 35 TDs. He turned into an x-factor and along with WR Justin Jefferson, provides one of the best QB/WR combo in the MOF. Cam Akers and Deon Bradley are a very nice 1/2 punch at HB and Lucas Magana has turned into a weekly threat at TE. Coach Krayzie also has figured out the d-line, Danielle Hunter has moved to DT and Krayzie is ready to wreak havoc on the MOF with him. I also love LB Jesus Martinez who has a 91 speed roaming around the field. They went out and drafted LB Cam Harvin and SS Jose Bobo who I think can make an immediate impact this season. I have the Vikings still finishing 2nd behind Jfon but I think it will be close and a nice fight for these two teams. The Green Bay Packers and Coach Texmex finished 4-13 last season and that was down from his 7-10 Season 73 campaign. Some moves the Packers make kind of make my head hurt especially with the draft pick of QB Ian Duggan a few seasons ago when they had Jordan Love. Instead, Duggan has been the starter and has been pretty good as Love just sits the bench. If i were the Packers, I would trade Love. They do need some upgrades on offense to be honest. AJ Dillon just isn't cutting it at HB, their best TE is only a 72 overall. Their receivers after Christian Watson just aren't very good either. If Coach Tex doesn't work on upgrading his team, they are going to keep finishing with double digit losses. Simple as that. However, if you check the other side of the field. The defense is very strong. Led by SS DT Kenny Clark who broke the TFL record in a season with 59. Also DT Daymond Elam is right there next to him. Rashan Gary is an x-factor LB, Quay Walker and Lukas Van Ness are SS Lbs as well. Then they have 3 stars in the secondary with Jaire, Stokes, and Paul Fox. The Packers have the defense, but the offense is one of the worst in the MOF. That will continue to hold them down and I expect them to finish with double digit losses again. The Chicago Bears and Coach Andy finished with just 2 wins last season. Coach Andy has been trying his best to improve this team and it shows. They went out and drafted LT Jerry Redmon with the 3rd overall pick to put some protection behind QB Justin Fields and HB Orlando Floyd who is a SS with 93 speed. The top 3 receivers all have 93 speed, DJ Moore, Darnell Mooney, and Joseph Reed. TE Cole Kmet is a strong safety valve for Fields as well. The offense is solid, not fantastic, but it's solid. The defense outside of LB Tremaine Edmunds needs some help. I like RE DeMarcus Joseph, and DT Brendan Blade. FS James Parnell is also a nice young safety but these guys lack a huge star on defense that can change the game. Especially in the secondary, and that will hurt them against teams like the Lions with all that speed. I expect the Bears to struggle, they will win a couple games, and probably upset a few teams and maybe even finish in 3rd place, but I don't see much more than that unfortunately.
Biggest Off-Season Addition: LG Quenton Nelson - TB (93 ovr)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction: CB Marshon Lattimore - NO (92 ovr)
Best Draft Selection: WR Josh Weatherspoon - ATL (84 ovr)
The NFC South, again, without surprise, was dominant. The Atlanta Falcons won the division at 13-4. The Panthers finished 2nd at 13-4 and made a trip to the Super Bowl. The Saints finished 11-6 and made the playoffs again. Then the Buccaneers finished 4-13 and in last place. We do begin with the Atlanta Falcons. Coach Wilky is coming off an NFC Championship loss where he could have made the Super Bowl for the 3rd straight season. I'm not really sure how they do it, but season in and season out the Falcons continue to improve their team significantly. They have x-factors all over the place on offense, starting with QB Desmond Ridder (who is on the trade block). HB Bijan Robinson (93 speed). Two x-factor Tight Ends in Kyle Pitts and Andrew Nielson. Then they went out and drafted WR Eric Beckham (98 speed) and WR Josh Weatherspooon. I don't know what to say but I expect Eric Beckham to be the next big thing. Expect a huge season out of him, with his 98 speed and expect him to see a lot of targets. I understand why Ridder is OTB but it's still surprising to see that. They did sign QB Matt Corral (former Panthers backup) to serve as the backup in case Ridder does get dealt. The offensive line even, they have two guys in the 90s, Chris Lindstrom and Creed Humphrey. The defense added Aaron Donald and Haason Reddick last season and they caused immediate impact. They didn't make too many more changes on defense, but they didn't need to. The Falcons are going to fight for the division, as usual, but I expect them to win it. The Carolina Panthers are coming off a huge season 74, making it all the way to the Super Bowl losing on the last play where they were going to tie it. It was a war, and it could've easily gone his way and we could be talking about Betroit's first ever title. I expect the Panthers to be right there with the Falcons in which they have created a fantastic rivalry this edition. The Panthers offense is just as good as the Falcons. With x-factor QB Bryce Young leading the way. The HB crew is very strong, and Betroit uses all of them. Pierce, Sanders, Grant all very good backs with good speed. I love the signing of WR Drake London, who is tall and has great catch rating. Betroit knows what he's doing when it comes to this game, and if you were to model your team around anyone in this league, it should be him. Tall receivers, high catch and catch in traffic ratings & user catching, these guys are tough. Defense is also very good, Betroit loves to user that safety and bring him down to cover the medium routes knowing that the deep ball is basically non existent in this game. LB Chris Byers and LB Brian Burns prove to be a great 1/2 tandem. The speed in the secondary is strong as well, with Horn, Chinn, and Hawkins all with 93, 95, and 94 speed. The Panthers, like I said, will be right there. If they don't win the division, they will be the top wild-card. The New Orleans Saints and Coach Boobie isn't someone to sleep on either. The Saints finished 3rd last season and had a couple of bumpy games along the way but they always seem to catch the Falcons or Panthers in one of those games. The Saints went out and traded CB Marshon Lattimore to the Patriots. The QB Malik Cunningham had a tough season with 35 interceptions but the Saints still won 11 games and made the playoffs. Basically that's because of rookie HB Zhaire Fulcher and x-factor TE Levi Jenkins. Two studs that Boobie has developed into prime time players. WR Chris Olave is another great weapon with his 94 speed. On defense the Saints are lacking some stars, outside of LB David Ojabo they do not have any other ability players. That will hurt them when it comes time to play the Panthers and Falcons. I think the loss of CB Lattimore is going to hurt the Saints more than they realize. I still think the Saints are a great team, they will win 10 games or more, but I think if I had to choose they are my odd team out when the playoffs come. Coach ELBuccs and the Buccaneers had a tough season 74, winning just 4 games but those 4 wins were nice wins. Sometimes it pays off playing against the top coaches in the league for so long. The Bucs went out and made some nice moves to improve this team in the offseason. Including trading for LG Quenton Nelson from the Colts. They also went out and signed QB Deshaun Watson to be QB1. I like the move they made last season picking up TE Mark Andrews, who is a SS 97 overall. I really like the offensive line, with Wirfs and now Nelson and the defense is loaded in the secondary with Marlon Humphrey, Budda Baker, and Antoine Winfield. You need that when you play teams like the Panthers and Falcons 2x each. The Bucs are not predicted to do well, and understandably so. They are in a very strong division and they are going to continue to struggle with that. That's 6 losses right out of the game, Which means they really need to go 10-1 or 11-0 against everyone else to even have a shot at the wild-card.
Biggest Off-Season Addition: LT Laremy Tunsil - SF (94 ovr)
Biggest Off-Season Subtraction: LB Fred Warner - SF (99 ovr)
Best Draft Selection: FS Will Carter - ARI (76 ovr)
The NFC West was a dog fight that was won by the Seattle Seahawks and Coach Q last season who finished 13-4 and earned that 2 seed. The 49ers finished in 2nd with a tie breaker over the Cardinals to earn the 7th seed in the playoffs, where they were beat by Seattle for the 2nd postseason in a row. The Cardinals finished with double digit wins again and missed the playoffs, again! The LA Rams finished 1-16 with the worst record in all of the MOF. We begin with the defending NFC West champs the Seahawks. Seattle and Coach Q has been arguably the best GM this edition, period. The moves he has made completely turned this roster over into a juggernaut team. Q does have a quick trigger when it comes to QB play which is why they went out and signed QB Dak Prescott to be the starter coming into this season. QB Brian Hill is taking a step back. Of course HB Saquon Barkley returns and tries to stay healthy but if he cannot, Pacheco is right there backing him up. I love the draft pick of TE Joe Richardson who takes the place of Andrews who was traded last season. Also, the move to trade for Stefon Diggs was a huge move. Couple that with Pickens, Slayton and Eskridge, you have a nice WR team. The defense is led by DE Myles Murphy, and DT Teair Tart who are both just monsters on the line. Then you have two x-factor CBs in the no fly zone with Woolen and Price both with 98 and 92 speed respectively. The Seahawks have the best roster in the division and that's why they will win their 2nd straight NFC West title. The San Francisco 49ers and Commish Jeff had an up and down season 74, but it ended with a nice winning streak as QB Brock Purdy turned things around and played much better in the final 6 games. Of course the 49ers have lost 4 straight to the Seahawks including 2 playoff games as they continue to be their bump in the road. HB Tony Barrett has been the man in the MOF since his arrival last season, rushing for over 2500 yards in 13 games and earning x-factor. They also went out and traded for LT Laremy Tunsil to replace Trent Williams. They did trade LB Fred Warner as well for LB Justin Moon from Cincinnati ans the 49ers build one of the fastest linebacker corps in the MOF. The 49ers have a schedule where if they win the games they should win, should be a wild-card team. I expect them to fight with Arizona once again, but watch New Orleans and Washington, those teams could have a say in that wild-card spot as well. The Arizona Cardinals enter this season on a mission. They want revenge on the 49ers for keeping them out of the playoffs last season. There is no denying Hicks abilities on offense. Coming from a former professional quarterback, it's hard to stop someone who knows how to read a defense like he does. When it comes to the offense the Cardinals did not do too much to improve the team. WR Keenan Allen is 1 year older, HB Dalvin Cook is 1 year older. Of course Marquise Brown's 97 speed is always a problem, and TE Greg Dulcich's emergence has been very nice too. The defense also lacks ability players. With CB Tyrell Terry being the only player on the defense with abilities. That will have to change if they really want to stop teams like Seattle and San Francisco. I expect Arizona to be right there in the wild-card hunt. I do not think they have what it takes to take over the division, solely based on the fact that their defense just isn't strong enough. I think that will ultimately be their downfall as to why they miss the playoffs all together. The LA Rams come into this season with the worst record from last season, 1-16. What's interesting is that they won Week 1 and then lost the rest. It's clear that the Rams are lacking talent all over the field. They are in full rebuild mode, and it's showing. It's a tough watch sometimes, but sometimes these guys look really good especially on offense. QB Bobby Dunlap has 93 THP and can get the ball to Pittman in a hurry. I love the addition of WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba and TE David Njoku. That will absolutely take some pressure off Dunlap in the passing game. I'm not sure who the starting RB is going to be, but right now it looks like Aaron Jones is that guy. The defense is not good. They have zero ability players on the defensive side of the ball and i don't expect them to be stopping anyone any time soon as we saw last season with HB Tony Barrett going off for 375 yards rushing. I think the Rams have to try to focus on improving this defense if they really want to compete, for now I see them in the basement of the West.
