MOF SEASON 71 PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS

Season 71 MOF Playoff Predictions: Who Will Win Super Bowl 71?

The MOF playoff picture was solved entering Week 18, with the only thing to battle for was seeding. Last edition we saw the playoffs expand by 1 team in each conference, and now we have 6 wild-card games! Also including the extra game, we could see a champion with 20 wins in one season! That's extraordinary. With the MOF playoffs, its always a crap shoot. Just because you were dominant in the regular season, doesn't mean you will be dominant in the playoffs. Despite the unpredictability our staffers and I have sent in our picks for the playoffs! I hope you all enjoy.

*Remember all these predictions are very in depth. We go game by game with the current schedule and predict games 1 by 1 and that's how we come up with our algorithms. Remember this is all in good fun and for some, some bulletin board material! Enjoy

AFC:
Wild Card Round: I like the Steelers to run the ball about 55 times against the Bills in the snow and win a close 20-17 game to advance to the divisional round. I think the Raiders/Texans game is going to be fantastic. Coach Q subbing in has stumbled a little bit with the Raiders, and I think the Texans will take advantage winning a high scoring 42-38 game. I like the Titans to beat the Jets in the final wild-card game by a score of 35-23 as Malik Willis continues his playoff magic.
Divisional Round: We're going to see the Titans visiting Pittsburgh and Roclo's dominance over the Commish will continue as he wins a close 31-27 game with a last minute TD drive to WR William Kelley. I like the Colts to defeat the Texans in a really close nail biter 28-27.
AFC Championship: Should be an instant classic between Roc and Healy, I have the Colts edging out the Titans here 33-30 advancing to their 2nd straight SB.

NFC:
Wild Card Round: We see a rematch of last season's wild-card game but swapping the seeds. I still like the same result. Packers 35-21 over the Falcons. We see Seattle and San Fran once again in the playoffs, and as great as the 49ers have been this season I am giving the edge to the Seahawks 38-34. I expect the Giants to beat the Saints too but I think the game is going to be very close, surprising some people, 31-27.
Divisional: We're going to see 2 great games. I really like the Packers, as he's shown the ability to beat the Giants time and time again. However, this time will be different. The Giants take down the Packers 41-35 in overtime. I like the Commanders to beat the Seahawks like they did in Week 18 here by a score of 35-24.
NFC Championship: The Giants and Commanders! What a great way to determine the SB representative. I like the Commanders, as they have stayed hot all season. They beat the Giants once, but the Giants also beat the Commanders last time they played 59-0. I think the Commanders avenge that loss and win 42-38.

SUPER BOWL 71:
We're going to see an old time MOF Vet Super Bowl matchup! Healy vs Betts. I think this game will be a back and forth battle, the x-factor will be Micah Parsons who has been dominating the league all season. If the Commanders can lock him down, they have a shot, but I dont think they will. I like the Colts to win 27-23 for their 2nd straight title.

MMXCALIBUR

AFC:
In my professional opinion, the Raiders will slide by an underachieving Texans team that’s underachieved to the point where I can’t create a line for them properly. The Steelers will have their hands full with the Titans and I absolutely wouldn’t discount a Steelers win; but I’m going to side with a more playoff-consistent success in the Titans. In the last wildcard tilt, give me the Bengals to finally put shit together and upend a Bills team that’s been spotty for the entirety of Madden 23. Who would have thought that Mack would just “happy to be here” after his success in Madden 22? In Round Deux, the Colts will make short work of the Bengals and the Raiders will continue pressing towards another AFC Championship appearance with a slim victory over the Titans. Finally, the AFC Championship is essentially a coin-flip in my eyes, but I’m all for getting some new blood in the Super Bowl. Give me the Colts to sneak out a win in quadruple overtime.

NFC:
The NFC South is awful, and none of the teams within the division are allowed any type of success: so, give me the Packers over the Falcons in a 82-0 trouncing. The Seahawks are a battle-hardened group who will skip merrily past an overmatched Vikings squad. Finally, the Lions aren’t exactly world beaters, but the 49ers have been very “up and down” this season. Give me the more consistent Lions to eke out a win. In the Divisional Round, the Giants will get a free pass into the NFC Championship against whichever poor soul manages to make its way to the Meadowlands. In the other matchup, the Lions are just a wee bit better than the Seahawks. These two teams did play to a tie a few seasons back, so it’s not a surprising upset (who says I don’t do my research?). In the NFC Championship Game, it’s the Giants. Doesn’t matter who the opponent is. It’s the Giants.

SUPER BOWL 70:
The Season 70 finale will see a post-apocalyptic Manning Bowl as the Colts take on the Giants. Again, it’s hard to think the Giants are going to falter. In fact, I don’t envision this being particularly close. Accept your Silver Medal and leave the stage, Indy.
