Season 25 Predictions
by

Updated: June 2, 2013: 8:25pm EST
Welcome ladies and Gentleman to the
annual MOF Season predictions. This year will be a little different as you can
see, yours truly Chris Berman has been hired by Commissioner Dypko and the MOF
to write up these season predictions. I have gone through each coaches
tendencies, how they would fit with the team they are coaching, and came up with
these predictions. Remember guys, do not take this personal, it is all in good
fun. Besides, when was the last time anyone was right on any prediction? Eh?
Hello again MOF Coaches and fans. Welcome to the Season 25 predictions! Last
season went great, as we finished up with Coach Betts winning his second
championship in a row, and 4th overall in his career. He is back with the
Redskins again this season, and looking for a three-peat! But as we all know, it
gets tougher and tougher as the seasons progress. We have a few new coaches this
season, 4 to be exact, so we wish them the best of luck in their rookie seasons,
and you never know with rookies! However, we always know that we don't give them
the benefit of the doubt. So without further ado, here is your Season 25
predictions.
AFC East
Buffalo: Christopher Scholin (Scholin1120) - Last Season
(Chicago 3-13)
Miami: Andy Matheson (LokiDoki) - Last Season (DNP Rookie)
New England: Marcel McLaurin (hovadagod_23) - Last Season (Green Bay 3-13)
New York Jets: Alex Leivano (LatinYank77478) - Last Season (N.Y. Jets 11-5)
Well
here we go again! Coach Latinyank is back with the Jets, again, and he looks for
redemption as we have 3 new coaches in the AFC East along with Coach Latinaynk.
The Buffalo Bills are coached by Scholin1120 who took the Bears to a 3-13 record
last season, although all those loses were not from Coach Scholin, he took over
mid-season, we will do not believe that he will make any noise with the Bills
this season. We could see an upset here or there because sometimes CJ Spiller
can win you a game by himself, other than that, we do not see Buffalo doing
anything this season. The Miami Dolphins are coached by a rookie, Andy Matheson
(LokiDoki). Not much is known about Coach Lokidoki but that he was in the MPL
and a few other leagues, so he knows what it takes to be in a league. However,
some say the MOF have the best coaches around, so he might be in for a wake up
call, especially coaching such a poor team in the Dolphins. Rookies are known to
take their lumps here in the MOF, and I expect the same from Coach Loki and the
Dolphins this season. Coaching the New England Patriots is Coach Hovadagod23.
Last season Coach Hova took the Packers to a 3-13 record, so expectations cannot
be too high in New England this season. Coach Hova had one of the best offenses
in the game last season and he could only muster up 3 wins. Tom Brady, Rob
Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez, Wes Welker, this team is loaded with offensive
talent, but can Hova take advantage of that? I don't really think so, but he
could be the biggest threat to Coach Latinyank in the division. Last but not
least, back again with the New York Jets is Coach Latinyank. Last season was
probably his worst with the Jets, as he still went 11-5 but lost in the first
round of the playoffs, and did not win the division. I expect Coach Latinyank to
be back in full force this season, with his unorthodox offense and double headed
Quarterback play.
AFC East Predictions:
Ny Jets: 11-5
Buffalo: 5-11
New England: 3-13
Miami: 2-14
Rewind:
This is one of the weakest divisions in the
league this season, so I expect Coach Latinyank to wrap
up this division pretty early. Given that, when you wrap
up divisions early sometimes you "coast" into the
playoffs, which could be a big problem for Coach
Latinyank. Expect the rest of this division to have
double digit loses.
AFC North
Baltimore: Darryl Beveridge (Oldskoolque) - Last Season
(Cleveland 3-13)
Cincinnati: Adam Nielson (fuzzburg75) - Last Season (Buffalo 8-8)
Cleveland: Ralph Morales (rmorales26) - Last Season (DNP)
Pittsburgh: Ron Clark (IGotASxyWife) - Last
Season (New Orleans 10-6)
Last
season we saw the Bengals take over this division early, but fall back as the
season went along. The Bengals still won the division, but that was the only
team to make it to the playoffs. Things could change this season. In Baltimore
we have Coach Oldskoolque taking over the reigns. Last season he was the Browns,
and went 3-13, but that was his rookie season and he was with a terrible team in
the Browns. Can Coach Oldskool's sophomore season be more successful? He will
win more games, we'll leave it at that. This division could be a surprisingly
good one this season. The Cincinnati Bengals look to defend their division title
with Coach Fuzzburg this season. Fuzzburg is a Bengals fan, and we all say you
are a dangerous coach when you play with your favorite team. Coach Fuzzburg
showed signs of brilliance last season with the Buffalo Bills, but he finished
4-8 before he received 4 simmed wins. So there is work to be done. The Bengals
will be in the hunt for a wild card this season, but the division might be a
stretch. The Cleveland Challenge is being taken by Coach Morales this season.
Coach Morales has taken the last 2 seasons off, he last season in the MOF was
Season 22 when he took the Philadelphia Eagles to a 9-7 record. So we know that
Coach Morales can win some games, he actually took these Browns to the playoffs
in Season 18. The Browns have some good players, but you have to use them to
their strengths. It will be tough. Finally the Pittsburgh Steelers are being
coaches by Ron Clark, better known as "IGotASxyWife". Coach Ron took the Saints
to a 10-6 record last season, but failed to make the playoffs. Coach Ron is
always a dangerous coach when he has his favorite team, the Steelers. The last
time Ron coached the Steelers was Season 20 when he went 13-3. So I expect that
same dominance from Coach Ron this season, and a division title.
AFC North Predictions:
Pittsburgh: 13-3
Cincinnati: 11-5
Baltimore: 6-10
Cleveland: 4-12
Rewind: I have a feeling the
Bengals will be the team to watch this season. Fuzzburg has skills and with his
favorite team he should make some noise. The Steelers are the cream of the crop
of this division though and to knock him off will take a lot. I expect the
Steelers to win this division, and the Bengals to earn a wild card berth. Look
for the Ravens to start off strong with a weaker schedule, but to fall back. The
Browns are going to struggle, especially from the rust of Coach Morales'
comeback tour.
AFC South
Houston: Randy Keith (kckeith88) - Last Season
(Kansas City 8-8)
Indianapolis: Chris Cheefer (CheeferD) - Last Season (Atlanta 11-5)
Jacksonville: Frank Thomas (Mindenplaya) - Last Season (DNP Rookie)
Tennessee: Martin Gonzalez (Bordxx2957) -
Last Season (Houston 5-11)
The
AFC South should be an interesting one this season. Last season we saw the
Titans and Youngcat go an astonishing 15-1, and we saw Coach Hace take the
Jaguars to a 12-4 record. This season Hace and Youngcat are gone, but I still
think the AFC South can be competitive. The Houston Texans are coached by
KCKeith this season. KCKeith took the Chiefs to an 8-8 record last season and
just missed out winning the division due to some tie breakers, so KCKeith is
ready to take the next step to stardom. Can he do it? Well the team is
excellent, it's just how he can play with the sticks. The Indianapolis Colts are
coached by CheeferD who won the NFC South last season with the Atlanta Falcons
going 11-5. The year before Cheefer took the same Colts to a 7-9 record.
However, we believe Cheefer turned the corner here in the MOF and he's ready to
compete with the big boys. I expect the Colts to win this division, and win it
by alot. The Jacksonville Jaguars are coached by a rookie in Frank Thomas,
although it's not the Frank Thomas you're thinking of. Frank has his work cut
out for him in Jacksonville, Maurice Jones-Drew can only take you so far. Unless
you are Coach Hace G. we think the Jaguars might have a tough go at it this
season. The Tennessee Titans are coached by Martin Gonzalez (Bordxx2957) this
season. Coach Bord had the Texans last season, but was not able to finish the
season due to some personal work issues, but now he's back in full effect and
could be the biggest threat for the Colts and their quest at a division title.
Coach Bord made his debut Season 23 with the Cardinals, but that season he
substituted for the Chargers and even beat Coach Betts! So he's still hanging
onto that win, as are we, waiting for Bord to take the next step.
AFC South Predictions:
Indianapolis: 12-4
Tennessee: 8-8
Houston: 6-10
Jacksonville: 4-12
Rewind: I am predicting the
Colts to run away with this division, but I could easily be wrong here because
the wild card is the Titans. If Bord can get back into the swing of things, and
get his mind right, he might be a serious dark horse in the entire AFC. However,
I still think his absence will linger a bit, and that will open the door enough
for the Colts to jump through it. I expect the Texans to show some signs of life
during the season, but not enough to maintain a playoff position. The Jaguars
are going to have a tough season, but I expect a couple WOW wins from the Big
Hurt.
AFC West
Denver: Damon Clark (Dpanther95) - Last Season (Seattle
9-7)
Kansas City: Commissioner Dypko - Last Season (New England 14-2)
Oakland: KA Crosby (TeamKA) - Last Season (Oakland 7-9)
San Diego: Steve Sutton (Dagger27) - Last Season (DNP Rookie)
The
AFC West could be another weak division. Last season the Broncos won this
division at an 8-8 record, with the Chiefs also at 8-8 and Raiders at 7-9. So
not much is expected from the AFC West, season in and season out. The Denver
Broncos are coached by Dpanther who had one of his greatest seasons ever last
season with the Seattle Seahawks, taking them to a 9-7 record. We're used to
seeing Dpanther at the bottom of the barrel with the Panthers, but he's starting
to break that mold. Now he has an incredible offense, so he could do some
damage. The Kansas City Chiefs have to be the favorite to win this division as
Coach Dypko comes to the mid-west. Last season Dypko took the Patriots to a
shocking 14-2 record, that no one saw coming. Obviously the passing game is not
the same in Kansas City, but Jamaal Charles is here, and if Dypko can keep
playing defense, he should cruise. The Oakland Raiders are coached by TeamKA
again. Last season TeamKA took the Raiders to a 7-6 record, but then in the last
week of the season, he had to work the late shift and could not finish his last
3 games, forcing the Commissioner to forfeit his remaining games. He looks for
revenge this season, especially on the Commish and the Chiefs. It should be
interesting, with one of the fastest teams in the game. The San Diego Chargers
are coached by rookie Steve Sutton, and it looks like already Dagger27 is a very
active coach, which is excellent. The Chargers are not a very good team to play
with in madden, because their lack of speed. However, they do have a very good
quarterback, great tight end, and underrated defense. Coach Dagger might be the
most successful out of all rookies in this class.
AFC West Predictions:
Kansas City: 12-4
Denver: 8-8
Oakland: 8-8
San Diego: 3-13
Rewind:
This division should be dominated by Dypko's Chiefs. You never know with
him though, so it's not a guarantee. I am picking the
Broncos and Dpanther to clinch the other wild card in
the AFC, altough that 6th spot is definitely up for
grabs for almost every team. The Raiders will also be a
team to watch out for, because TeamKA has skills. The
Chargers will have a tough time winning games, but I
expect Dagger to have complete sportsmanship and the MOF
will be happy to have him.
NFC
East
Dallas: Brett Williamson (UCCBrett) - Last Season
(Philadelphia 12-4)
New York Giants: Vinny Caturano (Youngcat21) - Last Season (Tennessee 15-1)
Philadelphia: Hace G. (Hasn2k) - Last Season (Jacksonville 12-4)
Washington: Thomas Betts (NYRedskins35) - Last Season (Washington (14-2)
Just
when you thought the NFC East could not get any tougher than Season 24, Season
25 happens. Last season we saw the Redskins at 14-2, The Giants and Eagles at
12-4, and the Cowboys at 11-5. So what happens this season? Coach Uccbrett,
Youngcat21, and Hasn2k join the four-time champion Coach Betts. The Dallas
Cowboys are coached by Brett Williamson (Uccbrett) this season, who coached the
Eagles to a 12-4 record last season. He was ousted in the first round of the
playoffs, but he was dominant all season long. The divisional games will be the
separator between all of these teams. Brett is obviously a threat to the
division, but I see him more as a wild card team than a division winner. The New
York Giants are coached by the versatile Vinny Caturano (Youngcat21). Last
season Youngcat took the Titans to a 15-1 record, and the season before than
took the Bears to a perfect season. So 31-1 in his last 2 regular seasons. He
lost the last two seasons to Betts in the playoffs, once in the Super Bowl and
once in the NFC Championship. Coach Youngcat looks to seek revenge on Betts in
this division, and I believe he can do that. He will be the biggest threat to
Betts' division title, and is a shoe in for the playoffs. The Philadelphia
Eagles are coached by the mighty Hasn2k. Hasn2k coached the Jaguars the last two
seasons, in Season 23 he took the Jaguars from a 1-7 record to 8-8 and a Super
Bowl loss. Last season he went 12-4 and was knocked out by Youngcat in the 2nd
round. We know he can play, and the Eagles are much better than the Jaguars so
this team is going to be one to watch. I place Hasn2k in the same category as
Brett though, I see Hace as more of a wild card, than division winner. Last but
not least is the Washington Redskins. Coach Betts is back again, and looking for
a three-peat. This season might be the biggest threat to his title that he's
ever had. This division is stacked beyond belief. However, I still think Coach
Betts is the favorite to win this division. RG3 season in and season out throws
50 plus touchdowns, this is Coach Betts' team, and it's going to take alot to
take him out. If he can win his 3rd title in a row, then he will earn "Best In The World."
NFC East Predictions:
Washington: 14-2
Ny Giants: 14-2
Philadelphia: 12-4
Dallas: 12-4
Rewind:
The division is absolutely ridiculous. I expect everyone
in this division to win 12 games at least. The teams
with the most division loses will be the teams that will
be on the outside looking in. The two wild cards will
absolutely come out of this division, its just a matter
of positioning. I think the Giants and Redskins are the
two givens, and the Eagles and Cowboys will battle for
that 6th seed. Strap up guys, because this is going to
be amazing to watch.
NFC
North
Chicago: Trev Pappas (trevpap) - Last Season (Denver 8-8)
Detroit: Pauly Mendes (Pauly2110) - Last Season (Detroit 10-6)
Green Bay: Dave Holleman (baldy_555) - Last Season (Pittsburgh 3-13)
Minnesota: Josh Nelson (krayzie300) - Last Season (Baltimore 8-8)
The
NFC North was won by Pauly and the Lions last season, with a 10-6 record. The
first time the Bears were not relevant in a long time. Well that might happen
once again. The Bears are coached by Trev Pappas (trevpap) this season, who won
the AFC West with the Broncos last season with an 8-8 record. We believe Coach
Trev has turned the corner and is ready to be a perennial playoff team. The
Bears have a lot of skills, Cutler, Marshall, Forte to name a few, and that
defense is stifling, but can Trev play to their strengths? It will not be easy,
but he should do some damage. The Detroit Lions are the favorite to win this
division by far. Pauly knows these Lions inside and out, and had them playing
extremely well when the season ended, he even took out the Giants in the first
round of the playoffs. I expect Calvin Johnson to have a record breaking season,
and for Stafford to be in the MVP talk when its all said and done. The Green Bay
Packers have been having little to no success under every coach that's been here
in the past few seasons, and I don't see that changing this season. Coach Dave
Holleman (baldy_555) had a tough season in Pittsburgh last season, and I don't
see that changing much this season. The Packers are so good though, that they
will win you games by themselves, but that will only happen a few times. I
expect the Packers to occupy the basement of this division. The Minnesota
Vikings are coached by Krayzie300 again, and he's glad to be home! Adrian
Peterson is a beast, we all know that, but its what ELSE they can do. Which
isn't much. Ponder or Webb? We don't know who will quarterback, all we know is
that this is Krayzie's team, its his favorite team, and we know he has the
ability to dominate or to dissipate.
NFC North Predictions:
Detroit: 10-6
Minnesota: 7-9
Chicago: 6-10
Green Bay: 5-11
Rewind:
This division has a lot of
talented teams, but the coaches are a little suspect.
The best coach in this division is Pauly and he's a hall
of famer for a reason, he will find a way to win this
division, even with that very tough schedule. The good
thing is, the rest of the division has the same
schedule. Look for the Vikings to show some signs of
brilliance this season, but not enough to take down the
Lions. The Bears and Packers will battle for 3rd place.
NFC
South
Atlanta: Andre Scott (BigDre245) - Last Season
(Cincinnati 9-7)
Carolina: Garry Callis (Gidpent) - Last Season (Indianapolis 9-7)
New Orleans: Dan Holleman (Trigrdan) - Last Season (Arizona 11-5)
Tampa Bay: Jason Fontaine (JFon) - Last Season (Tampa Bay 8-8)
This
division looks to be the second best division in the league. Last season the
Falcons won the division, and the Saints went 10-6. This season we could see
similar records. The Atlanta Falcons are coached by Bigdre245 who took the
Bengals to the playoffs last season with a 9-7 record. The Falcons are a very
good team that coaches seem to pass up on, and im not sure why. Matt Ryan and
three great receivers to throw to, not to mention Rodgers and Turner in the run
game. The Falcons are a legit team, and Coach Dre should have a very good
season. The Carolina Panthers are coached by Garry Callis (Gidpent) who couldn't
finish his season last season with the Colts, but finished 9-7. We know that
Callis can play, as he took the Chiefs to the AFC Championship in Season 23. He
hasn't played a full season since Season 23, so it's hard to predict what he can
do with Carolina. We know that picking them 7th overall means that they must be
your favorite team. Cam Newton is a great player, we know that, and Gidpent
should seriously compete for a playoff berth. The New Orleans Saints are my
favorite to win this division. Coach Dan Holleman took the Arizona Challenge
last season, and succeeded! Took the Cardinals to an 11-5 record, and right to
the NFC Championship. I have a new found respect for Coach Trigrdan and I think
his confidence is at an all-time high. This division is his, with this amazing
offense, and not to shabby defense. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are coached once
again by Jason Fontaine. Some experts laugh at the fact that Jfon cannot win
more than 8 or 9 games with the Buccaneers but he's made the playoffs 2 out of
the last 3 times he was the Buccaneers. However, this season is going to be a
tough one with this division. I expect him to compete, but not for too long.
NFC South Predictions:
New Orleans: 11-5
Carolina: 10-6
Atlanta: 10-6
Tampa Bay: 7-9
Rewind: This division is going
to be a three man race, the Saints, Falcons and Panthers will all be in the
running. The sad part is only one of those teams will be in the playoffs due to
the overload of talent in the NFC East. So you are going to have to win this
division if you want a playoff spot. I give the edge to the Saints, because of
the above mentioned. However if he does slip, look for the Falcons to be the
team to beat. The Panthers will be there as well, but hopefully Gidpent can
finish out the season. Tampa and Jfon is always a scary team, but I dont think
he has enough in the tank to seriously compete in this division.
NFC
West
Arizona: Rey Viscaino (Jdidd) - Last Season
(Carolina 7-9)
St. Louis: Christopher Duran (bubbaduran07) - Last Season (DNP Rookie)
San Francisco: Quincy Peterson (Qpeezy35) - Last Season (Dallas 11-5)
Seattle: Ray Yarbrough (footballray) - Last
Season (San Diego 3-13)
The
NFC West season in and season out seems to be a weak division. I'm not exactly
sure why, because they have Seattle and San Francisco. Last season we saw the
Arizona Cardinals make their 2nd ever playoff appearance, as they won the west
with Trigrdan. This season, we see the Arizona Cardinals hire Jdidd. Diddy took
the Panthers to a 7-9 record last season, which is a little misconstrued because
he did not finish an entire 16 game season. Diddy can win games, we know that,
and when his mind is right he can really make a big impact. But the Cardinals
are not very good, and we all know that. Diddy will have a tough season, and it
might be painful to watch. The St. Louis Rams are coached by rookie Christopher
Duran, and we do not know much about Duran, all we know is that he was also in
the MPL. The Rams are not that bad of a team, so if Duran makes a run, we
shouldn't be too surprised about it. Steven Jackson, and an underrated Sam
Bradford the Rams could be the second best team in this division. However, we
all know that we cannot pick rookies to win! The San Francisco 49ers are head
and shoulders above the rest of this division, we know that, and with the
Coaching experience of Quincy Peterson, that makes these guys that much more
dangerous. The 49ers are going to be fun to watch this season, and i expect this
division to be wrapped up by Week 3. The Seattle Seahawks are also a very good
team, but Ray Yarbrough taught us last season that talk is cheap. The Chargers
went 3-13 last season, and in all reality he only won 1 game, the other 2 were
simmed wins. Can Ray turn the corner? I'm not quite sure, but he definitely has
the team to compete, that's for sure.
NFC West Predictions:
San Francisco: 13-3
Seattle: 3-13
Arizona: 3-13
St. Louis: 3-13
Rewind: Obviously the Seahawks, Cardinals, and Rams cannot win 9
games combined, can they? Eek, I don't know. I think this division is going to
be a run away, if it's not, I will be completely shocked. Quincy was smart
getting out of the NFC East, and into the NFC West.
