VIKINGS NEW ERA BEGINS

The Purple People Eaters are looking for a return to glory this season. That all starts at the top with the hiring of new head coach Carter Thompson. In his 1st season Coach Thompson isn't looking for growing pains and moral victories. "Being young at key positions is no excuse for not doing your job! We want to play fast, tough and aggressive, to get out worked is unacceptable! Do I think there will be a learning curve with the team? Yes, but it's gonna be a short curve." 

The coach went on to say that he was very excited to meet with all the players 1 on 1 and even more anxious for training camp to get underway.  The Vikings look to have one of the more intriguing Quarterback competitions going. Former #1 overall pick Kyler Murry enters the mix with incumbent J.J. McCarthy, who showed flashes of his 1st rd pick status but just can't seem to stay on the field long enough to build on that due to various injuries his 1st two seasons. Murry ran himself out of Arizona due to the coaching carousel and lack of improvement i his on field play. Although they did report that his Madden game is top notch for NFL QBs. 

Right now this is the talk of the Vikings off-season between the front Office and Vikings fans alike. Depending on which player Coach Thompson thumbs as his guy, may change the trajectory of the franchise for years to come. 

Let's hope he makes the right choice.
