VIKINGS BLOW OPENER

The Minnesota Vikings did not start the season off on the good foot. Coming off an opening day loss at home is not what the Vikings had in mind. But after a 36 - 20 loss, the team is not in the mood for moral victories. The offense just couldn't get anywhere in the run game only mustering 57 yards on the ground, provided on help to QB JJ McCarthy. McCarthy who got the nod over Kyler Murry for the starting job this season. McCarthy completed 14 of 22 pass attempts, normally if only 2 of your passes  actually hit the ground usually you would be happy. The problem is that 4 of them were intercepted by the Packers.  JJ actually ended up with 273 yards and 2 touchdowns. The inexperienced QB could not find the open receiver and it showed time and time again. With no help from the rushing attack and a young O-line the Vikings with hitting it hard at the practice facility this week as they get ready for a week 2 match up with the Chicago Bears. Word on the street is that the new Vikings coach was extremely disappointed that after his interview in Chicago that they never called him back for his dream job. Coach T gave off a hint of revenge for this week's game to show them that they made a mistake. But those words never came out of his mouth.
