Raiders Crushed at Home, Fall 45–12

LAS VEGAS, NV — It was a night to forget for the Las Vegas Raiders, who suffered a brutal 45–12 loss at home, struggling on both sides of the football from the opening whistle.

The biggest issue came from the quarterback position, as Fernando Mendoza endured one of the roughest performances of the season. Mendoza threw six interceptions, managed just 67 passing yards, and recorded only one touchdown through the air.

The Raiders were unable to establish much of a running game either, although Ashton Jeanty provided one of the few bright spots. Jeanty carried the ball 10 times for 51 yards and added one reception for 17 yards.

Defensively, the Raiders had no answers for Malik Willis, who put together a spectacular all-around performance. Willis finished with 301 total yards, throwing for 213 yards and two touchdowns while adding 88 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.

Las Vegas simply could not contain Willis, who repeatedly extended plays with his legs and punished the Raiders' defense throughout the game.

For head coach Big Country, the loss represents a major setback after the Raiders' recent comeback victory. The team will now have to regroup quickly and find answers on both sides of the ball.

Next Up: Chargers at SoFi

The Raiders won't have much time to dwell on the loss. Their next challenge comes on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium.

After a performance this lopsided, Las Vegas will be looking for a response—and a much cleaner performance from Mendoza, the offense and the defense.
