MOF WILD CARD WEEKEND: SIX GAMES, SIX SEASONS ON THE LINE

MOF Wild Card Weekend: Six Games, Six Seasons on the Line

The regular season is officially in the books, and the MOF playoffs are here. Kansas City and New York earned the coveted No. 1 seeds and a Wild Card bye, leaving six matchups to determine who moves on to the Divisional Round.

Some games feature longtime rivals with plenty of history. Others bring coaches together with almost no head-to-head history at all. Here are the Wild Card predictions.

AFC

#2 Miami — Bigreub vs. #7 Cleveland — Snoop

Head-to-Head: 0-0

There isn't any history to lean on here, which makes this one of the hardest games of the weekend to predict. Bigreub earned the No. 2 seed and gets the advantage of entering the postseason as one of the AFC's top teams, but Snoop has nothing to lose as the No. 7 seed.

Cleveland could make this interesting if Snoop can force Miami into mistakes and keep the game close into the fourth quarter. Still, the higher seed gets the nod.

Prediction: Miami advances

#3 Baltimore — CoachQKP vs. #6 Cincinnati — JFon

Head-to-Head: CoachQKP leads 15-14

You probably won't find a more evenly matched Wild Card game.

After 29 meetings, just one game separates CoachQKP and JFon. That history suggests we're in for a game that could come down to one possession—or even one mistake.

Baltimore has the higher seed, but history says seeding might not mean much here. CoachQKP gets the slightest edge based on the 15-14 career advantage.

Prediction: Baltimore survives a close one

#4 Indianapolis — MrRoclo vs. #5 New England — Mindenplaya

Head-to-Head: MrRoclo leads 14-10

The 4/5 matchup could be another AFC battle that goes deep into the fourth quarter.

MrRoclo owns a 14-10 career advantage over Mindenplaya, giving Indianapolis a slight historical edge. But 24 previous meetings also mean these coaches know each other's tendencies extremely well.

This feels like a game where turnovers and red-zone execution decide who advances.

Prediction: Indianapolis advances

NFC

#2 Detroit — MOFCommish vs. #7 Carolina — Krayzie

Head-to-Head: MOFCommish leads 27-5

Of all six Wild Card matchups, this one has the most lopsided head-to-head history.

MOFCommish has dominated the series 27-5 and enters as the NFC's No. 2 seed. Krayzie will need to flip years of history and pull off the biggest upset of Wild Card Weekend.

Anything can happen in one playoff game, but it's difficult to pick against that 27-5 advantage.

Prediction: Detroit advances

#3 Los Angeles Rams — MMXCaliber vs. #6 Seattle — Knightnoles

Head-to-Head: MMXCaliber leads 3-1

The sample size is small, but MMXCaliber has gotten the better of Knightnoles in three of their four previous meetings.

Seattle enters as the No. 6 seed with an opportunity to shake up the NFC bracket, but the Rams have both the higher seed and the head-to-head advantage.

Don't be surprised if this becomes one of the weekend's closest games.

Prediction: Los Angeles advances

#4 Atlanta — BigReg vs. #5 Arizona — MrWitness

Head-to-Head: MrWitness leads 11-3

Forget the seeds—this matchup has upset written all over it.

Atlanta owns the No. 4 seed, but MrWitness has controlled this matchup historically with an 11-3 record against BigReg. That makes Arizona a dangerous No. 5 seed and arguably the strongest upset pick of the opening round.

BigReg has a chance to erase that history with one playoff victory, but until proven otherwise, the matchup favors MrWitness.

Prediction: Arizona pulls the 5-over-4 upset

Predicted Divisional Round Field

AFC: #1 Kansas City, #2 Miami, #3 Baltimore, #4 Indianapolis

NFC: #1 New York Giants, #2 Detroit, #3 Los Angeles Rams, #5 Arizona

Wild Card Weekend doesn't care about what happened during the regular season. Six games will decide whose championship hopes stay alive—and whose season ends one game short of the Divisional Round.
