MOF SEASON 88 PRESEASON POWER RANKINGS
The Champion Takes the Throne as Week 1 Arrives
Season 87 is officially over, and the postseason completely reshuffled the MOF Power Rankings.
Kansas City finished the regular season #1, but an early playoff exit opened the door. Cincinnati and Seattle made massive postseason runs, Miami captured the AFC Championship, and Shawtypizzle finished the job by leading the Giants to the Season 87 MOF Championship.
Now everyone is back to 0–0, and Season 88 opens with several huge matchups—including #1 vs #16, #3 vs #17, #5 vs #10 and #9 vs #11.
Here are the Season 88 Preseason Power Rankings and Week 1 matchups.
👑 1. Shawtypizzle — Giants ⬆️1
S87: #2 | Super Bowl Champion
Week 1: vs #16 CheeferD — Eagles
There's no debate at #1. The Giants beat Carolina 38–10, survived Seattle 58–50 and defeated Miami 35–26 to win the championship.
And look who's waiting in Week 1.
Cheefer nearly ended Shawty's incredible run in the S87 regular-season finale, losing 56–55. Now the NFC East rivals immediately run it back to open S88.
2. BigReub0904 — Dolphins ⬆️1
S87: #3 | AFC Champion
Week 1: vs #20 TSG_Lee34 — Cowboys
Miami's 15–2 season was no fluke. BigReub beat Cleveland, Indianapolis and Cincinnati before falling to New York in the Super Bowl.
The road back begins against TSG, whose 7–10 S87 record doesn't tell the entire story. Dallas proved capable of beating elite competition when it knocked off then-#1 MMX.
🚀 3. Jfon — Bengals ⬆️13
S87: #16 | AFC Championship
Week 1: vs #17 Boobie_MTZ7 — Packers
The biggest postseason riser draws an interesting Week 1 matchup.
Cincinnati beat Baltimore 35–20 and stunned #1 Kansas City 44–37 before Miami finally stopped Jfon.
Now the question becomes whether that postseason version of Cincinnati carries into S88 against Boobie and Green Bay.
🚀 4. KnightNoles — Seahawks ⬆️11
S87: #15 | NFC Championship
Week 1: vs #23 Latinyank77478 — 49ers
Knight reminded everyone why he's a four-time champion, beating the Rams and Falcons before putting 50 points on the eventual champion Giants.
Seattle starts S88 against NFC West rival San Francisco. Knight enters as the clear favorite, but divisional games can get interesting quickly.
5. Bubbaduran07 — Chiefs ⬇️4
S87: #1 | Divisional Round
Week 1: vs #10 Commish Jeff — Lions
No easing into S88 for Kansas City.
The Chiefs finished 15–2 before Cincinnati walked into Arrowhead and eliminated them 44–37.
Now Coach Duran gets an immediate Top 10 test against Commish Jeff. Detroit finished 13–4 and scored 59 points in its regular-season finale before losing a 48–45 playoff shootout.
#5 vs #10 is one of Week 1's headliners.
6. BigReg — Falcons ⬆️5
S87: #11 | Divisional Round
Week 1: vs #22 Bengalsonly_7 — Commanders
BigReg ended S87 as one of the league's hottest coaches, beat Arizona 45–35 in the playoffs and came within two points of reaching the NFC Championship.
Atlanta enters Week 1 as a significant favorite against Washington.
7. Krayzie300 — Panthers ⬆️6
S87: #13 | Divisional Round
Week 1: vs #18 AJ072694 — Saints
An NFC South battle immediately tests two S87 ten-win teams.
Carolina's 48–45 playoff victory over Detroit pushes Krayzie into the Top 10, while AJ enters S88 looking to prove the Saints deserved postseason consideration.
This could be much closer than the rankings suggest.
🚀 8. MrRoclo — Colts ⬆️9
S87: #17 | Divisional Round
Week 1: vs #15 BigDre245 — Jaguars
Here's an immediate rematch.
Roclo ended Jacksonville's five-game actual winning streak with a dominant 38–17 victory in Week 18 before beating New England in the playoffs.
Now BigDre gets an immediate opportunity for revenge.
9. MrWitness36 — Cardinals ⬇️5
S87: #4 | Wild Card
Week 1: vs #11 MMXCalibur — Rams
One of Week 1's best games.
Witness enters at #9 after Arizona's disappointing playoff exit, while MMX sits #11 after losing 38–37 to Seattle.
Both were Top 5 at the end of S87.
Only one can start S88 1–0.
10. Commish Jeff — Lions ⬇️4
S87: #6 | Wild Card
Week 1: vs #5 Bubbaduran07 — Chiefs
Jeff gets an immediate opportunity to jump right back toward the Top 5.
Detroit finished 13–4 and possesses one of the MOF's most explosive offenses.
Beat Kansas City in Week 1 and Jeff could make one of the first major moves of the S88 rankings.
11. MMXCalibur — Rams ⬇️6
S87: #5 | Wild Card
Week 1: vs #9 MrWitness36 — Cardinals
MMX's S87 ended with consecutive losses to Seattle, including a heartbreaking 38–37 playoff defeat.
A road back toward the Top 10 starts against Witness in a matchup between two coaches who spent much of S87 among the league's elite.
12. Coach QKP35 — Ravens ⬇️3
S87: #9 | Wild Card
Week 1: vs #30 Lynx — Chargers
Baltimore's S87 ended with a 35–20 playoff loss to Cincinnati.
QKP now gets a favorable opening matchup against the Chargers and an opportunity to immediately start rebuilding Top 10 momentum.
13. Mindenplaya — Patriots ⬆️1
S87: #14 | Wild Card
Week 1: vs #19 Canesbucs1 — Jets
An AFC East rivalry opens S88.
Minden finished S87 with 11 victories and pushed Indianapolis to the limit in a 38–34 playoff loss.
But nobody should overlook a seven-time champion like Canes simply because he's ranked #19.
14. Snooppanther — Browns ⬆️4
S87: #18 | Wild Card
Week 1: vs #24 MackDaddy — Broncos
Snoop's Browns face one of the strangest lower-ranked opponents in the league.
Denver finished only 4–13, but MackDaddy is still a six-time champion with 49 career playoff victories.
This has upset potential written all over it.
15. BigDre245 — Jaguars ⬇️8
S87: #7 | Missed Playoffs
Week 1: vs #8 MrRoclo — Colts
BigDre doesn't have to wait long for revenge.
Indianapolis ended Jacksonville's five-game actual winning streak 38–17 in Week 18.
Now the Jaguars get Roclo again immediately, this time with an opportunity to erase the taste of S87.
16. CheeferD — Eagles ⬇️8
S87: #8 | Missed Playoffs
Week 1: vs #1 Shawtypizzle — Giants
Want an opportunity to immediately change your ranking?
Here it is.
Cheefer lost 56–55 to Shawty in Week 18 before watching the Giants go on to win the championship.
Now Philadelphia gets another shot at the champs in Week 1.
17. Boobie_MTZ7 — Packers ⬇️7
S87: #10 | Missed Playoffs
Week 1: vs #3 Jfon — Bengals
Boobie draws one of S87's hottest postseason teams.
Green Bay owns enough quality results—including its 38–17 victory over MMX—to know it can compete with highly ranked opponents.
Knocking off #3 Cincinnati would immediately restore some Top 10 credibility.
18. AJ072694 — Saints ⬇️6
S87: #12 | Missed Playoffs
Week 1: vs #7 Krayzie300 — Panthers
AJ finished 10–7 with actual victories over Jfon, Krayzie and Witness.
Yes, that includes Krayzie.
That makes this NFC South rematch particularly interesting. AJ has already proven he can beat Carolina.
19. Canesbucs1 — Jets
S87: #19 | No Change
Week 1: vs #13 Mindenplaya — Patriots
Canes begins his bounce-back attempt against a playoff team.
The seven-time champion finished just 6–11 in S87, but a victory over Minden would immediately remind everyone how dangerous Canes can be.
20. TSG_Lee34 — Cowboys
S87: #20 | No Change
Week 1: vs #2 BigReub0904 — Dolphins
TSG gets a massive opportunity right away.
Miami is coming off an AFC Championship, but Dallas already proved in S87 that rankings don't intimidate TSG.
Remember:
Dallas 34, then-#1 MMX 19.
Could another major upset be coming?
21. AssuredFame — Titans
S87: #21 | No Change
Week 1: vs #27 BuffaloBill — Bills
Tennessee quietly finished S87 with three consecutive actual victories.
Assured now gets a favorable opening matchup against Buffalo and a chance to prove that late-season run wasn't a fluke.
22. Bengalsonly_7 — Commanders
S87: #22 | No Change
Week 1: vs #6 BigReg — Falcons
Washington draws one of the league's hottest coaches.
BigReg closed S87 with five straight actual regular-season victories and then won a playoff game.
An upset here would send Bengalsonly flying up the rankings.
23. Latinyank77478 — 49ers
S87: #23 | No Change
Week 1: vs #4 KnightNoles — Seahawks
Latin gets an immediate NFC West measuring stick.
Seattle enters S88 ranked #4 after reaching the NFC Championship.
San Francisco has shown it can string actual wins together. Doing it against Knight would make a serious opening statement.
24. MackDaddy — Broncos
S87: #24 | No Change
Week 1: vs #14 Snooppanther — Browns
Mack's S87 was one to forget.
But we're still talking about a six-time champion.
Denver gets an immediate opportunity to begin the comeback against a Cleveland team that reached the S87 playoffs.
25. Domi_TSX — Bears
S87: #25 | No Change
Week 1: vs #29 ThaTiger74 — Vikings
Chicago needs a reset after one of the strangest seasons imaginable: 6–0 to 6–11.
A divisional matchup with Minnesota provides Domi a very winnable opportunity to start S88 differently.
26. ELBuccs — Buccaneers
S87: #26 | No Change
Week 1: vs #28 Coach QC — Texans
Two coaches looking for a fresh start meet immediately.
Tampa finished 5–12, while Houston collapsed from 8–5 to 8–9.
Someone gets an early confidence boost.
27. BuffaloBill — Bills
S87: #27 | No Change
Week 1: vs #21 AssuredFame — Titans
Buffalo gets a chance to slow down a Tennessee team that finished S87 with three straight actual victories.
A Week 1 win would immediately move the Bills out of the bottom tier.
28. Coach QC — Texans
S87: #28 | No Change
Week 1: vs #26 ELBuccs — Buccaneers
Houston badly needs a fresh start after losing four consecutive actual games to close S87.
Tampa provides a manageable opening matchup.
For QC, this feels like an important early opportunity.
29. ThaTiger74 — Vikings
S87: #29 | No Change
Week 1: vs #25 Domi_TSX — Bears
Minnesota and Chicago both desperately need positive momentum.
With only four ranking spots separating them, this is exactly the type of Week 1 game that could create immediate movement near the bottom.
30. Lynx — Chargers
S87: #30 | No Change
Week 1: vs #12 Coach QKP35 — Ravens
Lynx gets one of the tougher assignments among the league's bottom-ranked teams.
Baltimore won 12 games last season and entered the S87 playoffs ranked #9.
A Chargers upset would be one of Week 1's biggest surprises.
31. Big_Country1112 — Raiders
S87: #31 | No Change
Week 1: vs #32 Remo357 — Steelers
Something has to give.
Las Vegas finished 3–14.
Pittsburgh finished 1–15.
Week 1 gives both coaches something they rarely had during S87: a matchup where each has a legitimate opportunity to win.
32. Remo357 — Steelers
S87: #32 | No Change
Week 1: vs #31 Big_Country1112 — Raiders
If Remo wants to escape #32, the opportunity couldn't be much better.
Pittsburgh opens against the team ranked directly ahead of it.
Beat Big Country and the Steelers almost certainly won't be sitting at #32 next week.
🔥 Week 1 Games to Watch
The new season doesn't waste any time.
#5 Chiefs vs #10 Lions gives Kansas City an immediate chance to rebound from its playoff disappointment while Jeff tries to reenter the Top 5.
#9 Cardinals vs #11 Rams features two former S87 Top 5 teams trying to reestablish themselves.
#8 Colts vs #15 Jaguars is an immediate rematch after Roclo's 38–17 Week 18 victory.
But the biggest storyline belongs to the defending champions.
#1 Giants vs #16 Eagles.
Cheefer came within one point of beating Shawtypizzle in Week 18. Shawty responded by running through the playoffs and winning the MOF Championship.
Now they meet again to begin Season 88.
The rankings are set.
The records are 0–0.
Welcome to Season 88.
