Final Edition — Season 87: Chiefs Finish on Top

The Season 87 regular season is officially in the books, and after 18 weeks of movement, upsets, SIMs, winning streaks and late-season surges, one team finishes exactly where it spent much of the year:

Bubbaduran07 and the Kansas City Chiefs are #1.

Kansas City left no doubt in the finale, destroying Las Vegas 41–0 to finish 15–2. But the Chiefs weren't the only contender to make a statement. Shawtypizzle survived an incredible 56–55 battle with CheeferD, BigReub finished 15–2 after beating New England 43–35, and Commish Jeff exploded for 59 points against Green Bay.

As throughout the season, actual games carry significantly more weight than SIM results. These are the final regular-season power rankings—not playoff seeding—and they're based on the complete Season 87 body of work.

👑 1. Bubbaduran07 — Chiefs

15–2 | Previous #1 | W 41–0 vs Raiders

There was no reason to overcomplicate #1.

Kansas City entered Week 18 on top and then delivered its most dominant defensive performance of the season, shutting out Las Vegas 41–0.

After losing two of three in the middle of the second half, Bubba closed the regular season with five consecutive team victories. His final four actual games were wins of 42–24, 45–18, 59–14 and 41–0.

The Chiefs finish 15–2 and #1.

🥈 2. Shawtypizzle — Giants

14–3 | Previous #2 | W 56–55 vs Eagles

What a season.

New York started 0–2.

The Giants then went 14–1.

Cheefer gave Shawty everything he could handle in the finale, but the Giants survived an incredible 56–55 shootout.

Shawty finishes just behind Kansas City, but nobody transformed his season more dramatically.

The Giants enter the postseason as one of the league's most dangerous teams.

🥉 3. BigReub0904 — Dolphins

15–2 | Previous #3 | W 43–35 vs Patriots

BigReub closes his first regular season in Miami with another quality actual victory.

Minden's Patriots entered at 11–5 and made Miami work for it, but BigReub prevailed 43–35.

Since taking over the Dolphins, BigReub has lost only one actual game.

Combine that with his career .82 winning percentage, 23 playoff victories and two championships, and Miami enters the postseason with legitimate championship expectations.

4. MrWitness36 — Cardinals ⬆️1

12–5 | Previous #5 | SIM W 27–23 vs 49ers

Arizona's finale came through SIM, so it doesn't add much to Witness' résumé.

What does matter is what he accomplished earlier.

Witness remains the only coach in the final Top 5 with actual victories over both #1 Kansas City and MMX.

Arizona wasn't as consistent late in the year, but a five-time champion with those signature victories remains extremely dangerous.

5. MMXCalibur — Rams ⬇️1

13–4 | Previous #4 | L 26–23 vs Seahawks

MMX's regular season ends with another frustrating loss.

Knight avenged his earlier defeat and beat Los Angeles 26–23.

The Rams finish 13–4 and own one of the season's biggest victories—the 29–27 win over Kansas City that temporarily put MMX at #1.

But losses to Boobie, TSG and Knight keep the Rams from finishing inside the Top 4.

🔥 6. Commish Jeff — Lions ⬆️1

13–4 | Previous #7 | W 59–41 vs Packers

That's how you finish a regular season.

Jeff put 59 points on a quality Green Bay team and closes Season 87 at 13–4.

Detroit's résumé also includes an actual victory over BigReub and several explosive offensive performances.

The 59–38 loss to Shawty still keeps Jeff behind the elite Top 5, but nobody should overlook the Lions.

7. BigDre245 — Jaguars ⬇️1

10–7 | Previous #6 | L 38–17 vs Colts

The hottest streak in the league finally ends.

BigDre entered Week 18 riding five consecutive actual victories, but Roclo stopped Jacksonville cold with a 38–17 victory.

It's a disappointing finish, but don't forget what BigDre accomplished after a 3–5 start.

Jacksonville completely resurrected its season, and BigDre's 38 career playoff victories make him a coach nobody wants to underestimate.

8. CheeferD — Eagles

9–8 | Previous #8 | L 56–55 vs Giants

Yes, Philadelphia lost.

No, I'm not punishing Cheefer heavily for this one.

The Eagles went toe-to-toe with the #2 team and came one point away from ending Shawty's incredible run.

After starting 0–4, Cheefer went 9–4 the rest of the way and recorded actual wins over Witness and Knight.

The final record doesn't tell the full story.

9. Coach QKP35 — Ravens ⬆️1

12–5 | Previous #10 | W 42–10 vs Steelers

Baltimore finishes strong.

After putting 51 on Cincinnati in Week 17, QKP followed it with a 42–10 victory over Pittsburgh.

That's 93 points in two weeks.

The loss to Cleveland interrupted an outstanding second half, but QKP quickly recovered and finishes 12–5.

10. Boobie_MTZ7 — Packers ⬇️1

10–7 | Previous #9 | L 59–41 vs Lions

Green Bay ran into an offensive buzzsaw.

Allowing 59 drops Boobie one spot, but his second-half résumé remains impressive.

Most importantly, Green Bay owns a 38–17 actual victory over MMX.

Boobie showed throughout the season that the Packers can score with elite competition.

11. BigReg — Falcons ⬆️1

10–7 | Previous #12 | W 35–29 vs Panthers

BigReg finishes Season 87 on fire.

Atlanta's 35–29 victory over Carolina extends BigReg's actual winning streak to five games.

The Falcons finish 10–7 after a season filled with dramatic swings, but the final version of Atlanta looks considerably better than the one we saw earlier.

That's exactly how you want to enter the postseason.

12. AJ072694 — Saints ⬆️1

10–7 | Previous #13 | W 30–14 vs Buccaneers

AJ immediately rebounds from the Atlanta loss.

New Orleans handles Tampa Bay 30–14 and reaches double-digit victories.

AJ's late-season résumé includes actual victories over Jfon, Krayzie and five-time champion Witness.

For a coach in only his sixth season, that's an impressive finish.

13. Krayzie300 — Panthers ⬇️2

10–7 | Previous #11 | L 35–29 vs Falcons

Carolina closes the regular season with consecutive losses.

The Panthers still finish with ten wins, but losses to Knight and BigReg cooled what had been a strong late-season run.

Krayzie showed enough during the year to remain dangerous, but the momentum isn't there entering the postseason.

14. Mindenplaya — Patriots

11–6 | Previous #14 | L 43–35 vs Dolphins

Minden finishes with a loss, but New England gave #3 Miami a serious fight.

Putting 35 on BigReub is respectable even in defeat.

The Patriots finish with 11 wins after spending much of the second half hovering around the Top 10.

15. KnightNoles — Seahawks

11–6 | Previous #15 | W 26–23 vs Rams

Knight's late-season rebound continues.

After losing three consecutive actual games, Seattle closes with wins over Carolina and MMX.

Beating the #5 Rams 26–23 is exactly the type of victory Knight needed.

And with four championships and a .73 career winning percentage, nobody should want to see Seattle in a postseason matchup.

16. Jfon — Bengals

10–7 | Previous #16 | W 33–21 vs Browns

Cincinnati closes with a win.

Jfon beats Cleveland 33–21 and reaches double-digit victories despite an inconsistent second half.

The Bengals' offense proved capable of explosive performances all season.

The question remains whether the defense can hold up against elite competition.

🚀 17. MrRoclo — Colts

9–8 | Previous #17 | W 38–17 vs Jaguars

Roclo saves one of his best performances for last.

Jacksonville entered Week 18 with five consecutive actual victories.

Indianapolis ended that streak emphatically.

Colts 38, Jaguars 17.

Roclo finishes 9–8, but this is exactly the type of late-season win that can rebuild confidence.

18. Snooppanther — Browns

9–8 | Previous #18 | L 33–21 vs Bengals

Cleveland's difficult finish continues.

Snoop's upset of Baltimore was impressive, but the Browns couldn't build on it, dropping the final two games to Indianapolis and Cincinnati.

After reaching 8–2, Cleveland finishes 9–8.

19. Canesbucs1 — Jets

6–11 | Previous #19 | SIM L 35–3 vs Bills

The 35–3 score looks ugly, but it was simulated and receives little weight.

Canes' actual late-season performances were considerably better, including dominant wins over Denver and Minnesota.

Season 87 won't go down among the seven-time champion's best, but his résumé still commands respect.

🚀 20. TSG_Lee34 — Cowboys

7–10 | Previous #20 | W 44–26 vs Commanders

Dallas finishes on a positive note.

TSG beats Washington 44–26, giving the Cowboys another meaningful actual victory.

And nobody should forget the defining moment of their season:

Dallas 34, then-#1 MMX 19.

TSG's record wasn't great, but he proved capable of beating anyone on the right day.

21. AssuredFame — Titans ⬆️5

5–12 | Previous #26 | W 31–6 vs Texans

One of the strongest finishes in the bottom half belongs to Tennessee.

Assured closes Season 87 with three consecutive actual victories, culminating in a dominant 31–6 win over Houston.

The Titans aren't suddenly an elite team, but actual wins matter—and three straight deserve recognition.

22. Bengalsonly_7 — Commanders

6–11 | Previous #22 | L 44–26 vs Cowboys

Washington's late-season struggles continue.

The Commanders couldn't follow their Minnesota victory with sustained momentum and close Season 87 with another loss.

Bengalsonly finishes 6–11.

23. Latinyank77478 — 49ers

5–12 | Previous #23 | SIM L 27–23 vs Cardinals

San Francisco's final loss comes through SIM, so it receives little weight.

Latin showed flashes during a three-game actual winning streak earlier in the season, but the 49ers never rediscovered that momentum.

24. MackDaddy — Broncos ⬆️1

4–13 | Previous #25 | SIM L 20–17 vs Chargers

The finale was simulated, so Mack receives little punishment.

The bigger story is the season as a whole.

A six-time champion with 49 career playoff wins finishes 4–13.

Few coaches in the league have a stronger career résumé.

Few expected Season 87 to unfold like this.

25. Domi_TSX — Bears ⬇️4

6–11 | Previous #21 | SIM L 17–10 vs Vikings

Chicago's collapse is officially complete.

The Bears started the season:

6–0.

They finish:

6–11.

That's 11 consecutive team losses.

Several came through SIM and therefore aren't held heavily against Domi individually, but it's still one of the most remarkable season arcs in these rankings.

26. ELBuccs — Buccaneers ⬆️1

5–12 | Previous #27 | L 30–14 vs Saints

Tampa closes with another defeat.

After showing signs of life in the middle of the season, ELBuccs finishes on a long actual-game losing streak.

The Buccaneers end Season 87 at 5–12.

27. BuffaloBill — Bills ⬆️1

5–12 | Previous #28 | SIM W 35–3 vs Jets

Buffalo gets a massive victory on the scoreboard, but because it came through SIM, it doesn't carry much ranking value.

Bill finishes 5–12.

28. Coach QC — Texans ⬇️4

8–9 | Previous #24 | L 31–6 vs Titans

Houston's season ends with a major collapse.

QC once stood at 8–5.

The Texans then lost four consecutive actual games to Jacksonville, Philadelphia, Green Bay and Tennessee.

The final three-point? No—the final result was particularly damaging: 31–6 against AssuredFame.

Houston finishes below .500 at 8–9.

29. ThaTiger74 — Vikings

3–14 | Previous #29 | SIM W 17–10 vs Bears

Minnesota finally ends its team losing streak, but it comes through SIM.

ThaTiger therefore receives little ranking credit and stays near the bottom.

30. Lynx — Chargers

4–13 | Previous #30 | SIM W 20–17 vs Broncos

Los Angeles also closes with a SIM victory.

It improves the record to 4–13 but doesn't meaningfully change Lynx's ranking.

31. Big_Country1112 — Raiders

3–14 | Previous #31 | L 41–0 vs Chiefs

Season 87 ends brutally for Las Vegas.

The Raiders faced #1 Kansas City and were shut out 41–0.

Big Country finishes 3–14 and remains #31.

32. Remo357 — Steelers

1–15 | Previous #32 | L 42–10 vs Ravens

Pittsburgh's season ends where it spent much of the year: at the bottom.

Baltimore wins 42–10, dropping Remo to 1–15.

The Steelers finish #32 in the final Season 87 rankings.

📈 FINAL-WEEK RISERS

The biggest mover is AssuredFame, jumping from #26 to #21 after completing a three-game actual winning streak with a 31–6 destruction of Houston. BigReg climbs to #11 after winning his fifth straight actual game, while Commish Jeff moves to #6 after hanging 59 on Green Bay.

Knight doesn't move numerically from #15, but his stock is considerably higher after consecutive wins over Carolina and MMX.

📉 FINAL-WEEK FALLERS

Coach QC takes the hardest hit, falling from #24 to #28 after a fourth consecutive actual loss. Domi drops from #21 to #25 as Chicago's historic 6–0 start ends at 6–11, although the SIM-heavy nature of the slide limits the individual penalty.

BigDre falls one spot after Roclo emphatically ends Jacksonville's five-game actual winning streak, while MMX drops from #4 to #5 following the loss to Knight.
