WILD-CARD ROUND

6.) MIAMI DOLPHINS (10-6)
Coach JFon |
3.) BALTIMORE RAVENS
(12-4)
Coach BigDre245 |
ANALYSIS: These two teams
are almost polar opposites. They did not play in the regular
season, and Miami could be the hottest team coming into the
playoffs, going (8-1) in their final 9 games to get in. Miami
has the 18th ranked offense (307.8) and 21st ranked defense
(314.0), so how are they 10-6? Not really sure, they are 5th in
sacks that could be a reason. The Ravens come into this game
winners of 12 games, and they win their games by just not
turning the ball over. Only 19 turnovers in 16 games, and they
also defend the run very well, ranked 3rd overall (74.7). If the
Dolphins want to win this game, they're going to have to play a
perfect game and not turn the ball over. I don't see that
happening in Baltimore in front of that home crowd. I expect the
Ravens to play a great game, and come out on top.
PREDICTION: Ravens 31-17 over the Dolphins

5.) NEW YORK JETS (10-6)
Coach LatinYank77478 |
4.) INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (8-8)
Coach Dagger27 |
ANALYSIS: The
Jets and Colts played each other back in Week 9. In that game
the Jets scored 14 4th quarter points to win the game 34-21. The
Jets seem to be playing better week after week
and starting to prove that they can beat the elite teams with
wins over Detroit and Miami. The Jets are 2nd in the MOF in
rushing, and that's what they will have to do to win this game.
The Colts come into this game, barely getting into the
post-season, winning their division at 8-8. The Colts offense is
ranked 30th in the MOF, but their defense is ranked 5th. So to
win this game they are going to have to keep the ball away, not
turn it over, and just try to cause mistakes out of Geno Smith.
I don't see that happening, I like the Jets to come out and win
this game in Indianapolis.
PREDICTION: Jets 34-20 over the Colts

6.) SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
(11-5)
Coach Whosnext83 |
3.) CHICAGO
BEARS (11-5)
Coach Beast10790 |
ANALYSIS: Coach Beast took over the Bears at 2-2 and
since then went 9-3, winning the NFC North, and beating some
very strong opponents along the way.
Back in Week 9 the Bears also defeated these Seahawks
27-24 in overtime. The Bears finished the regular season 5th in
total offense, including 3rd in rushing offense. Matt Forte had
an amazing season with 1,940 yards rushing. Their defense could
use some work though, as they finished ranked 28th overall. The
Seahawks were 1 game away from the #1 seed in the playoffs,
instead they wind up the 6th seed at 11-5. They are pretty
average at every category, except passing defense. They ranked
4th overall giving up just 182.0 yards per game. That wont help
them in this game in Chicago. They must stop the run, and get
Chicago off the field if they want to win this game. I expect a
close one, but Chicago will come out on top with a late Forte
touchdown run.
PREDICTION: Bears 28-24 over the Seahawks

5.) DETROIT LIONS
(11-5)
MOF Commissioner |
4.) ATLANTA
FALCONS (9-7)
Coach NYRedskins35 |
ANALYSIS: Dypko and Betts are starting to become
perennial rivals. The last few times these two coaches met, Dypko has gotten the better of Betts, including a 31-21 Week 9
victory. We all know the capability of Calvin Johnson, as he
broke almost every single receiving record that the MOF had this
season. The Lions finished 2nd in total offense, with the 2nd
best passing attack in the league. However their defense
struggled, finishing next to last. The Lions take the ball away
though, with 51 total takeaways. Coach Betts finished the season
#1 in total offense and in points per game. However, their
defense finished dead last. These two teams are eerily similar
with great passing attacks, and awful defenses. So I expect this
game to be just that. I expect a takeaway or two to decide this
one, but I do like the Lions and MOF Commissioner's dominance over
Betts to continue.
PREDICTION: Lions 41-37 over the Falcons.
