Wild Card Weekend: May 16, 2013 - May 21, 2013
Well here we are! We are the Season 23 playoffs and wild card weekend is amongst us. We already had one game played, but that doesn't mean we cannot break down the other games! So here goes.
6.) New York Jets (11-5) 3.) Cincinnati Bengals (9-7)

Dypko: These two teams did not meet in the regular season and they do not know each other very much. The Jets coming into the game are 11-5 and that's a down season for Coach Latinyank. Every playoff team that the Jets played this season, they lost. So my confidence in them is low. However the Bengals started off very hot, and since then have been very cold, including 4 straight loses to end their season. So something has to give right? If I am not mistaken this is BigDre's first shot in the playoffs, and sometimes the bright lights get to you. That's why I am going to go with the Jets. I expect a big game out of Tim Tebow, Darrelle Revis and LaRon Landry. The Jets will be taking themselves down to Nashville to take on Youngcat next week.
Dypko Prediction: Jets 35, Bengals 31

5.) Jacksonville Jaguars (12-4) 4.) Denver Broncos (8-8)

Dypko:
The Broncos snuck into the playoffs due to the Raiders having a very hard schedule to play his games down the line, never the less they are in the playoffs and they are facing arguably the toughest team in the AFC right now, the Jaguars. These two teams met in Week 15 and the Jaguars took the game 33-16. I don't see much of a difference here. I think the Jaguars will continue their hot streak and bring themselves to the divisional round. Coach Hasn2k was here last season as well, and took the Jaguars to the Super Bowl. So he knows what it will take. I don't see this being a game at all, and it might be one of the most one sided victories in MOF playoff history.
Dypko Prediction: Jaguars 42, Broncos 17

6.) Philadelphia Eagles (12-4) 3.) Atlanta Falcons (11-5)

Dypko: This was a last second switch here as the Falcons dropped a game to the Panthers to fall to the 3 seed in the NFC, and now they have to play the Eagles who have been amazing all season long. The Eagles only lost 4 games this season, and they were ALL to NFC East opponents which is crazy. The Falcons are definitely the underdog here, and although my head says Eagles, my heart says Falcons! Matt Ryan has had an MVP type season, and i'd be shocked if he didnt win it by the way, but I'm going to go with the Falcons in a barn burner here! I can see Vick making some mistakes in his old home town, and Atlanta capitalizing with Roddy White and Julius Jones.
Dypko Prediction: Falcons 38, Eagles 35

5.) New York Giants (12-4) 4.) Detroit Lions (10-6)

Dypko: Everyone and their mother is going to pick Coach Kurtzy and the New York football Giants, and why shouldn't they? 12-4 in his first season here in the MOF, including a 42-14 win over these Detroit Lions back in Week 13. Not to mention David Carr was the quarterback in that game. All the odds are pointing to a Giants win, and with the confidence dwindling in the motor city, it's very hard to pick the Detroit Lions. However. Calvin Johnson is on the cover of the game, so that has to mean something, right? Coach Pauly has been here for a very long time and he knows what it takes to win in the playoffs in the MOF. I am going with Pauly in an upset here and a huge victory.
Dypko Prediction:
Lions 37, Giants 31
